Korean Seaweed Soup Variations
In Korea, birthdays begin with a warm bowl of Miyeokguk (미역국) — Korean seaweed soup. More than just a dish, it represents gratitude and care. Traditionally, mothers eat this soup after childbirth for recovery, and children continue the tradition by eating it every birthday.
Simple, nourishing, and deeply comforting, Miyeokguk is a staple of Korean home cooking.

It is known for being rich in minerals and gentle on the stomach.
